A wedding rangoli design sets the mood at the mandap or the venue entrance. This 4 ft design has a decorated doli (palanquin) in the centre, two kalash, two shehnai and a marigold border. It takes about 2 hours, or less with two people.
Step-by-step instructions

Step 2

Draw a kalash on each side of the doli and a shehnai above each kalash.
Step 3

Draw a border of round marigold flowers around the circle.
Step 4

Fill the doli red and gold, the kalash yellow, the shehnai gold, the marigolds orange and yellow, add pink and green details, and outline in white.
Tips
- Leave space in the centre to write the couple’s initials if you like.
