Dots make rangoli easy because they show you where every line goes. Of all simple rangoli designs with dots, this is one of the easiest: a 5×5 square grid joined into a four-petal flower. It is 1 ft wide and takes about 15 minutes.
Step-by-step instructions
Step 1

Put 25 white dots in a square: 5 rows of 5 dots, about 2.5 inches apart.
Step 2

Join the centre dot to the middle dot of each side with curved lines to make 4 petals.
Step 3

Join the corner dots with curves to make 4 leaves between the petals.
Step 4

Fill the petals red, the centre yellow and the leaves green. Keep the dots visible.
Tips
- Practise on dot paper first.
- Use a ruler to keep the rows straight.
